My wonderful husband made it possible for me to get away for a very quick weekend trip to Denver to visit one of my best friends, Diana. Even though it was only a 48 hour trip, it was much needed and really fun. We took a jog around downtown Denver, went to Buffalo Bills grave, did an endowment session in the Denver temple, went shopping, and went indoor skydiving which was seriously, AWESOME. It was so great to see Diana and anytime i get to spend time with old friends it reminds me just how special my days at SVU were. Thanks for more memories, Di.

One Year Later
It really does go by so fast. Our little girl turned 1 on Saturday. I can't believe that one year of her life has already passed...a year that i will never get back. I'll never be able to watch her sit up for the first time, crawl for the first time, eat solids for the first time, walk for the first time...i understand that such is the circle of life, but it's still a little sad sometimes to watch them grow up...it's been a wonderful first year with our little Kayhlen and i am so looking forward to the next many years.

April 18, 2009 (with her presents)
For Kay's first birthday we had a barbeque with our immediate family. Everyone was so great and didn't spoil Kayhlen at all (totally being sarcastic). She now has more toys than she even knows what to do with. Thanks to everyone for celebrating with us.
The cake that i bought for everyone
The cake that i made for Kayhlen (i must say that i was REALLY proud of myself...thanks to michelle for teaching me how)

Riley's Sealing
So, i just realized that because i didn't have the pictures until now that i never blogged about Riley's sealing. It's too important of an event to go without writing about. So, about a month ago, we got to witness the sealing of Riley (who is my little sister, Kiley's birth son) to his family. We have become extremely close with Ron, Lori and Lacey Tolman and we were honored to be able to witness such a great event in the Salt Lake Temple. My mom, Riley's birth grandma, got to hold him as he was sealed to his mom and dad for time and all eternity. What an amazing event. I continue to awe at the sacrifice that kiley has made on his behalf and i marvel at the person that she must be for doing such a selfless deed. i will forever be proud of her and i know without a doubt that our Heavenly Father holds a special place in His heart for her because of it. We love the Tolman's and are so happy to be a part of their family.
