6 months

Our bubba boy is 6 months old. He is TALL and SKINNY. He came in at 95% for height and 10% for weight. It sucks because he can't wear 0-3 pants because he's way too long for them but all 3-6 pants i have to pin quite a bit to fit. oh well. our bubba loves to give the sweetest smiles and giggles. he loves jumping around in his jumperoo. he is finally sitting even though he prefers to stiffen his body so you have to force him to bend. he adores his big sister and really really loves his bottle as well as baby food. love you handsome boy!

Weekend Getaway

We decided to take a quick weekend trip down to Southern Utah to see some of the church history sights (most of which we had never seen). It was actually really fun to spend a whole weekend with Mike and the kids and to see some really cool stuff. We went to Spring City (where Orson Hyde lived and is buried, really cool town), Ephraim, Manti, Cove Fort, Leeds (Silver Lake Ghost Town), St. George, Pine Valley, Mountain Meadows sight and Parawon (where my gma is buried). We had a great time.

Gabba Gabba = Obsessed

We had never heard of Yo Gabba Gabba until Troy and Kristin came for a visit and now I hear about it every 10 minutes of the day. Kayhlen has become absolutely obsessed with the show. These videos don't do justice because i didn't get to the camera in time but she loves it and loves the instructional dance time.

Growing Up

My baby girl is so not a baby anymore. She is a hilarious 2/12 year old that keeps me on my toes every minute of the day. Kayhlen has become such a good helper with Dax...she likes to be the mom a lot. She is a great big sister. She is becoming more and more independent. She gets up in the morning and takes off her pull-up and puts her panties on and then turns on the tv and watches it until i get up (i usually don't even know when she is awake). I love her so much.

Potty Trained

I'm very late posting this. Kayhlen has been potty trained for over a month now. I can't believe how easily she picked it up. She had 2 accidents on her first day and then was perfect (with the exception of one "off" day a few weeks ago). She wears a pull up at night but it's been so nice not having to buy and change 2 sets of diapers.

Adventures

My friend, Diana came out for a visit and I thought it would be fun to take the 4 wheelers out with her and Diesel. We really enjoyed ourselves for about an hour and a half and then...lets just say...a bit of a disaster. Diana had Diesel riding with her and tackled a hill that in hindsight she probably shouldn't have :) i came around a bend, heard diesel screaming my name and saw a 4 wheeler tumbling down an enormous hill at me...i jumped off my 4 wheeler and managed to jump into a tree to get out of the way. the machines took a beating as did diana and diesel. it's a long story, but they ended up tipping backwards and it rolled over the top of them before tumbling down. everything that followed was nothing more than the hand of the Lord. we were miles away from the parking and had seen 2 people the whole day and within 2 minutes of it happening some strangers happened upon us...long story short, we were watched over and protected that day. diesel came away with stitches and diana with a TON of bruises and scrapes as well as an almost broken nose...the machines have quite a bit of minor damage, but nothing too serious. if you had seen what i saw you would wonder how they are even running. we were blessed that day...we all felt it and we are all thankful for it. all of these pics were taken before, obviously, and then we had to document the trip to the instacare :)
This was how her helmet was pretty much all day...i was dying
