Cereal

We started Kayhlen on cereal this week...she's actually done very well with it. Here's some video.

Day 1

Daddy's Turn

Day 2

5 Months Old

Kayhlen turned 5 months old...and still isn't able to wear hardly any 3-6 clothes.

Stink Bug

My mom calls this the stink bug position and always yelled at us when we'd lay like this during family prayers. Apparently Kayhlen inherited this position from me because that's how she's been sleeping lately.

Hallelujah

If I could draw your attention to the below pre-season schedule for my Uconn Huskies. I'm sure that everyone has seen from some of my posts that I am a HUGE Uconn women's basketball fan and have been since I was about 14 years old. My lifelong dream has been to see them play in person and the closest i came was about 4 years ago when they were playing at Colorado State. I bought tickets and it just so happened that on the day of the game there was an enormous snow storm that prevented me from driving there. Well, if you pay attention to the large red font below you will see that my girls are coming to PROVO!!!! You can rest assured that nothing will keep me from that game.

Roller Coaster

Here is Kayhlen going on her first ride (with Baylie's assistance) on the "roller coaster" that's in my parent's backyard. Sorry it's sideways...i couldn't figure out how to rotate it.

26 Years Later

26 years ago while living in Dayton, Ohio where i was born my parents met Jim and Laurel Kohl. Since then we have lived next to them in 3 additional states and our fathers have remained best friends throughout the years. as kids we always joked about which one of the kids on both sides would end up getting married so as to unite our families and enable our fathers to become related. Well, on Wednesday my dad's dream (just playing around, dad) of being related to Jim became a reality as my brother Troy married Kristin Kohl. It was a lot of fun to see all the Kohls again as it's been a few years for me. Even if Kristin wasn't a Kohl we would GLADLY welcome her into our family. I wish them both an eternity of happiness!

The happy parents...don't get our dads started on talking about their glory days of playing church basketball together :)

Our Talker

If right now is any indication for how much of a "motor mouth" our little girl is going to be...we are in real trouble. Kayhlen spends about 75% of all her time just talking (meaning...gurgling, screaming, ect). My friend and I were at the mall yesterday and Kayhlen was talking for about 2 hours straight. I can't begin to tell you how many laughs and "awe...so cute's" we got from people. It is pretty adorable. Take a listen.
